About the creator
Best-selling author Christine Michel Carter is the only Black millennial mom writer with a national voice for other moms. She has been featured in The New York Times, EBONY and Women’s Health and has been called “the exec inspiring millennial moms”, a “mom on the move” and “the voice of millennial moms”. For years Christine has worked to debunk some of the common myths and misconceptions about mothers in the workplace, through public speaking, brand and agency consulting and her articles for Forbes, TIME, Parents and other publications.
A mother of two, Christine noticed there were no networking events for career-minded mothers that allowed their children to remain on-site. Understanding how stressful, time-consuming and difficult it can be to find quality childcare, she created Mompreneur and Me events in 2015 so both parents could spend time with their children and network with other like-minded professionals at the same time.
